Union Township Education Association sponsored the first 3rd & 4th grade girls basketball program in the Township of Union School District.
This was a joint project with:
Linda Ionta – UHS Athletic Director,
Ann Margaret Shannon – UTEA President & Program Coordinator,
Bob Cowper – Recreation Department Superintendent, and the
New Jersey Education Association
This program was offered after school to encourage female athletes in our district. The program organized a trip to Seton Hall Women’s basketball game against DePaul University.
Over 300 Union residents, players, family members, & UTEA members participated.
In addition to the team shirt, every player received a basketball from the UTEA.
Everyone had an awesome time!
