The 2021 Juneteenth Arts Festival took place on June 19th at Rabkin Park in Union.  The UTEA had a welcome tent set up and gave out 500 goodie bags and hundreds of free books at the children’s tent.  Some of the highlights included a panel discussion with teacher participants: Erdman, Patel, and Costello, an African Art display made by UTEA member Nancy Miller, and a choir of UTEA members, Union students, and other NJEA members led by UTEA member Terron Singletary sang the Black National Anthem.
